Design tips - faster approvals, smarter results

• Spine calc - Tell us page count, stock gsm and bulk, we’ll size the spine precisely.
• Grain direction - Keep long grain parallel to spine for flatter, stronger books.
• Creep and crossovers - We’ll compensate for creep and align images across the gutter; avoid micro-type in hinge areas.
• Covers - Allow bleed and hinge scores; we’ll advise laminate/film based on handling.
• Pagination - Multiples of 4 (stitch) or 16/32-page sections (sewn) work best.

Tight fold control, accurate trimming and square spines as standard. Our Horizon BQ-500 PUR line with inline trimming delivers consistent glue penetration and clean fore-edge finishes on coated and uncoated stocks.

Sustainability

We’ll recommend paper, adhesive and cover film combinations that balance durability with end-of-life goals (recyclability, scuff resistance, longevity). Material data sheets available on request.
