Perfect Binding

Perfect binding is a clean, professional binding method widely used for books, brochures, magazines and catalogues.
At Pressision, we produce high-quality perfect binding in-house, primarily using PUR adhesive for superior strength, flexibility and longevity.

From short-run art books to high-volume commercial publications, our perfect binding delivers a refined finish that’s built to last.

What is Perfect Binding?

Perfect binding involves gathering printed pages, preparing the spine edge, and gluing the text block into a wraparound cover. Once bound, the book is trimmed on three sides to create sharp, square edges and a polished final result.
This method allows for a printable spine and works across a wide range of paper stocks and cover materials.

Perfect binding offers a balance of durability, efficiency and visual impact, making it one of the most versatile binding methods available. Using PUR adhesive significantly enhances performance by providing:

  • Increased flexibility at the spine.
  • Improved longevity for frequently handled publications.
  • Reliable performance on coated and uncoated stocks.
  • It’s a binding method that supports both design and real-world use.

  • Catalogues, magazines and lookbooks.
  • Brochures requiring a professional, retail-ready finish.
  • Projects where spine branding and shelf presence are important.
  • Publications designed for repeated handling over time.
