6th June 2016 Origami Graffiti made from paper – Mademoiselle Maurice

Pressision Print

Artist Mademoiselle Maurice creates street art graffiti by using paper origami instead of spray paint. She handcrafts the origami on multi- coloured paper and the layout of every individually folded piece is essential to create the remarkable displays, from texts to intricately detailed patterns.
”The most recent piece of her work is featured at the Singapore Museum of National Art and it narrates Maurice’s signature of working with paper, colour and structure.Appearing entwined as a rainbow, this sculpture adds a 3D element to her work which often isn’t visible as most of her installations are dotted around walls and streets”.
